Stereotypes

    I instantly thought of The World Ends with You when I read this. The main character, Neku, wears headphones to push himself away from society, convinced that it's impossible to understand people. 

    After reviewing Playing with a trope (September 23, 202), I found out that Neku fits right into the stereotype of untwisted for more than half of the game. He makes friends, all be it aggressively, but doesn't understand how people communicate. He breaks this trope at the end of the game, when he finally takes off the headphones that he always wears, so that he can make an attempt to understand his friends.

    I want to play with the trope of reconstruction with Neku. It's never explained what made him into the antisocial person he is, and I feel like that can easily be explored through this trope. He rarely gets sad, and I think his character needs it.
